After spending decades immersed in car culture—driving, modifying, regretting modifying, and sometimes justifying irrational automotive decisions—I’ve decided it’s time to share some of that experience with you in a new blog series I’m calling Test Drive Reviews.

This series is exactly what it sounds like: bite-sized, honest impressions of cars I get behind the wheel of. These typically aren’t full-blown, highly technical reviews packed with wind tunnel data and Nürburgring lap times (I can only dream). Instead, I’ll be focusing on what it’s actually like to drive these cars—how they feel, how they fit real life, and how they make you feel as a driver.

So why should you care what I think?

Fair question. I’ve been a car enthusiast for over twenty years—starting with street builds at a young age and spiraling from there into a full-blown addiction that’s seen me own more cars than I can count without consulting a spreadsheet (but let’s just say it’s not a normal number). I’ve autocrossed, tracked, drag raced, and even dabbled in a bit of ice racing. I’ve wrenched on my own builds, daily-driven track toys, and made every mistake you’re trying to avoid.

I’ve learned a lot in the process—about what works, what doesn’t, and which cars actually deliver joy behind the wheel versus the ones that just look the part. This series is my way of passing that knowledge on to you.

I’ll talk about things like:

  • Driving dynamics and feedback

  • Cabin comfort and ergonomics (especially for taller drivers or those with cranky knees like mine)

  • Whether the car lives up to its hype

  • And yes, whether it made me want to sell everything and go full impulse-buy on the way home (spoiler alert: I've ended up purchasing several of these cars on impulse)

This isn’t sponsored content, and I’m not getting paid to say nice things. If a car doesn’t impress, I’ll say so. If a car knocks my socks off, you’ll hear that too. My goal is to give you authentic, relatable impressions—whether you’re a fellow car nerd, a weekend warrior, or just someone looking for their next fun daily.

So buckle up—the first test drive reviews drop soon. Let’s have some fun with this.
